DR. ANDREW SOUSA

Dr. Andy grew up in a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from New Bedford High School he went on to attend Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Andy then spent time as a high school chemistry teacher at his alma mater. He then continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He then moved to the Midwest where he completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Truman Medical Center – Lakewood
here in Kansas City. Dr. Andy was able to receive post graduate training in all phases of dentistry, including endodontics, crown and bridge, periodontics, implantology, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and pediatric/special needs dentistry. Dr. Andy enjoys working with children and adults and was drawn toward family dentistry. Dr. Andy married his college sweetheart, Megan, of Kansas City, Kansas. Megan is a pharmacist that graduated from UMKC and they are the proud parents of twin daughters – Sophia and Stella, and a son – Sam. In his spare time, Dr. Andy enjoys spending time with family, running, lifting weights, making BBQ with his smoker, and is an avid sports fan.
